About Ted
I
was born in Pontiac, Michigan and grew up in Highland, Michigan, where I
currently reside. I attended Huron Valley Schools. In high school I worked with
the local Meals on Wheels and was selected by school faculty, for my leadership
ability, to work on a partnership program between General Motors and Huron
Valley Schools to build a robot to compete on a national level against other
students from around the country. After high school I enlisted in the Army to
serve this country, in the tradition of my father and grandfather. I served in
the US Army in numerous peace keeping and combat deployments in the Global War
on Terror. I served a total of 8 years on active duty and in the reserves. I then
began working in the private security sector. With my training and experience I
am currently rated in the top 1% nationally in the Security Sector. I have been
on the front lines of the war on terror since it began. I have a four year old
daughter, who is the light of my life and the holder of my heart. I have always
strived to serve this nation and have always upheld my obligations to make a
difference in the community. To this end I intend to focus on the wars here at
home; illegal immigration, the dismantling of our constitution, the out of
control spending by the government, the outsourcing of our jobs, and the
protection of our sovereignty. I intend to do this as an Independent candidate
for the U.S. Congressional seat in Michigan's 11th District. If you are looking
for someone to represent the Republican Party, re-elect Thaddeus McCotter. If
you are looking for someone to represent the Democratic Party, elect Tom
Spencer. If you want someone to represent you and the citizens of this district,
vote for Ted McAvoy, an Independent you can depend on.
About Michigan
The
Citizens of Michigan are not being properly represented in Washington. We have
been left behind by our current representatives. We are left to fend for our
selves while the current Congress continues down the path of pacifying the
nations of the world with corrupt foreign practices. We here in Michigan are
losing our homes; our schools are closing; our unemployment rate has climbed to
astronomical levels and we have not voted for any of this. Our representatives
in Congress should be there simply to represent the people of the district that
elected them, not to represent special interests, or to represent policies that
do not benefit the citizens of Michigan. If we had true representation in
Washington the auto industry would not be where it is today. It would not have
unfair trade policies that hinder its ability to be competitive and pay its
workers decent wages and benefits. If the products that are imported are good
quality products then people will pay fair prices for them. It is impossible for
the American auto industry to compete against foreign nations that offer almost
no benefits, low - if not slave - wages and do not have environmental standards
to meet. This is what has forced the American auto industry to move its jobs
over seas. The only way to compete is to use the same standards of labor. The
solution is simple; eliminate NAFTA as well as other trade policies that
restrict our auto industry. NAFTA has been proven to only benefit other nations
of the world, and not the United States. Representatives of a people should
represent the will of those people, and not his/her personal beliefs.
About America
Today
we must realize, as Americans, that our current political climate is one that is
not inline with our Constitution. We are forced to pay taxes that are
unconstitutional, we live by laws that are unconstitutional, and we are forced
to fight wars that are unconstitutional. We can all now clearly see that the
policy of the U.S. since the end of WW2 has been to continually engage in
policing actions at the behest of the international community. We cannot allow
our men and women of our armed forces to be killed in the name of security for
any nation but America. The number of lives lost and the amount of money spent
is never ending. These police actions result in never ending U.S. obligations.
If you think it is not so, look at Korea, Vietnam, Bosnia, Kosovo, The First
Gulf War, Afghanistan and now Iraq. We only need to go to war when we are
threatened, not when we are scared. We could make far more progress by thinking
of ways to counter threats instead of destroying them. When we take action to
destroy threats the innocent people caught in the middle pay the ultimate price.
When we were caught in the cold war we did not go to war, we simply developed
technology and intelligence to defeat what ever threat the Soviets had. Think
about this just for a moment, when you want to kill a hornet’s nest do you use a
hammer? The point I am trying to make is simple;
all these issues that we are facing can simply be solved by not getting involved
in the affairs of other nations. We need to have fair trade with the world so
that all may have the opportunity to prosper.

A truly open and honest campaign should show All of those in the campaign
Hi, my name’s Glenn,
I’m the committee treasurer and whatever else Ted needs. I’ve been married, to my wife Nancy, for thirty-nine years. We’ve made our home in Livonia since 1977. Our son lives and works in Dearborn. I retired from a local suburban police department after 25 years of service and I currently work as a security supervisor at a local major hospital.
I’m concerned about the deterioration of our state, our country and our individual liberties. I’m working with Ted because I believe that he sees the path that we must take to re-establish the economy of Michigan, the sovereignty of America and a hopeful future for ourselves and our families. I also believe that it is necessary for us to elect a congress that is dedicated to the desires of the voters and not to the goals of a corrupt political party system. Therefore, I’m supporting Ted, a man who is running a grassroots campaign on a shoestring budget and whose goals are the same as mine.
